New York: Random House, 1968. First edition. Hardcover. vg. Quarto. 63, [1]pp. Half red cloth over paper covered boards with gold lettering on spine. Book housed in its original paper covered slipcase with pictorial title label laid in. Title page inscribed and signed by Truman Capote. Printer's device on title page. Capote's "The Thanksgiving Visitor" is a short story originally published in the November 1967 issue of "McCall's" magazine, and later published as a book by Random House in 1968. The story takes the form of a childhood tale about a boy and his bully problem. The story has a strong moral lesson related to revenge. It is a sequel to the author's "A Christmas Memory." Very minor age-toning/soiling along edges of slipcase. Slipcase in overall very good, binding and interior in fine condition.
