New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1920. v.1 fair to good, v.2 good. 505 & 517, 2-vol. set, illus., index, pencil & red pencil notes & underlining in v.1 (1st 100 pgs approx), rear board weak v.1. Ink name and address of previous owner written in front endpaper of both volumes, some wear to board corners and spine edges. The author had exclusive access to Roosevelt's personal and official correspondence along with other material relating to his public career from the time he was elected to the New York Legislature in November 1881 until his death.
