About This Item
London: The Bodley Head, 1949. Unclipped dustwrapper is in poor shape; torn in two at left-hand side of front panel and with lower half missing at the spine, along with a lot of creasing and small tears to the edges, but front panel illustration showing three children climbing up a rock is still complete. Some bumping to spine ends and corners of orange boards, original owner's name on half-title, some yellowing to the pages, but otherwise a good clean tight copy of this hard-cover book. The thirteenth in the author's series (of fourteen) stories featuring the adventures of the Lockett children. 244pp, some b&w drawings.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Good/Poor. Illus. by Hough, Charlotte. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
