A Fine first Printing of the First British Edition in a price-clipped and mildly scuffed Near Fine dust-jacket; Thomas Wolfe was born in 1900 in the small town of Lookout Mountain, North Carolina. He was the son of a minister and spent much of his childhood exploring the Appalachian Mountains. Wolfe attended college at the University of North Carolina, where he developed a love for writing. He published his first novel, Look Homeward, Angel, in 1929 and went on to write more than twenty novels and two hundred short stories. Wolfe died in 1938 at the age of thirty-seven.; 8vo; 374 pages .
