Dublin: George Bonham, 1785. Book. Full-Leather. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Front leather hinge split but held with binding strings with no pages missing and the text pages still tight. Rear hinge starting but mostly intact. Corners and edges of boards are quite worn but still a nice copy. The last page states -End of the First Volume- There are some old light moisture stains but all text quite legible. 464pp.

Dublin: Printed for the author by John Stockdale, 1803. Boston Revolutionary War patriot and Arnold Arboretum contributor Benjamin Bussey's copy with his oval printed bookplate on the front pastedown, and his circular inkstamp to title page. xliv pp. + folding map + 304 pp. + xxxvi pp. + [2] pp. + [4] folding pp. + 20 pp. 8vo., mottled calf with gilt spine ornaments, rules and gilt leather spine label. Joints cracked, label and spine chipped. First blank page and following half-title detached, laid in. Occasional light foxing. Map has closed tear at joint with no loss, and moderate foxing. Bussey, in addition to having served as a soldier in the Revolutionary War, was a merchant, farmer and horticulturist; his Forest Hills estate was eventually made part of Harvard's Arnold Arboretum.

London: Robert Clavell 1691, 1st edition. (Hardcover) [28], 408, [2], also [18] erroneously numbered internal pp.. Very good. Recently rebound in half-leather with marbled boards and new endpapers. Light toning and edgewear, horizontal and vertical fold lines, a few with tears, two repaired on verso with cellotape, "Con's Doctor" in contemporary hand near center. $1,250. * Known to its opponents as the "Murder Bill," the Public Safety Act of 1922 was enacted by the recently-established Irish Free to suppress the Irish Republican Army (IRA), which rejected the legitimacy of the Free State because it did include the counties of Northern Ireland. It was one of the key events of the Irish Civil War. The act imposed death sentences on any IRA member or supporter captured with a firearm or ammunition.
