The fourth adventure of five Richard Hannay novels, set sometime after the war after his marriage to Mary Lamington, when the couple have settled down to live in the Cotswolds with their young son. Hannay is asked to help recover three hostages seized by associates of a criminal gang seeking to control people's minds after the Great War. Written by John Buchan, a Scottish novelist, historian, and Unionist politician. In the original green cloth binding. Externally, very smart with light shelf wear and sunning to the extremities.
