With coloured frontspiece plate and 10 black and white illustrations by J. A. Shepherd. Bound in quarter grey cloth and pale grey paper over publisher's boards, green morocco spine label with gilt fillet and title; edges uncut. Wear to corners and slightly toned to endpapers, else a neat, clean, tight Near Fine copy. Neat copy of this beautifully illustrated edition of De La Mare's enchanting children's novel. Signed by De La Mare to the limitation leaf. Scarce.
