London: Skeffington & Son, 1910. [South Atlantic Islands] FIRST EDITION, first impression. Octavo (22 x 14cm), pp.xii; 280. Complete with 37 black and white photographic plates including a frontispiece, and a map. Publisher's green cloth with gilt titles to spine and upper, and a black and white photographic image to upper. Light toning and quite heavy spotting throughout. A large blue ink stain to margin of p.129/30, and to the facing leaf. Cloth shows moderate general wear, with some toning to spine. Very good. 'K.M. Barrow was the wife of the missionary Reverend John Graham Barrow, son of one of the survivors of the Blenden Hall, which was wrecked on Inaccessible Island (Tristan da Cunha) in 1821 during the British voyage from London to Bombay, 1821-1822 (captain Alexander Grieg). Between April 1906 and April 1909, the Barrows lived on Tristan da Cunha where Reverend Barrow was third pastor and school master under the auspices of the Society for the Propagation of the Gospel.'
