Stanley Paul, London, 1961. First Edition. Hardcover. Good Condition/No Dust Jacket. Illustrator: Photographic. 192 pages, last blank, list of illustrations, and appendix. The text is illustrated with contemporary black and white photographs. Green coloured boards with white and black writing on the backstrip. Bumping and rubbing to the head and to the heel of the backstrip. Heavy bumping to the top to book corners and there has been sunning to the top book edge and to the spine. Scuffing of the book panels. Browning and foxing to the text block edges. Age toning to the internal pages. A few foxing spots are also present to the internal pages. Cricket controversy is not a recent phenomena. Bowling and bowling actions of different cricketers from different countries have always been scrutinised, and commented upon. In this book the Australian cricketer Ian Meckiff describes his feelings about the " throwing war " of the early 1960s. This is the first UK edition. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
