From a limited edition of 250 copies signed by former President Gerald R. Ford, this being number 7. A truly unique copy, as we can find no record of any other leather bound copies of the memoirs of President Gerald R. Ford on the market. The Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library has no record specifying how many copies of the limited edition were bound in leather and/or cloth by the publisher. Gerald R. Ford served as Vice President following the resignation of Spiro Agnew in 1973. In the wake of the Watergate scandal and the resignation of President Richard Nixon, Gerald R. Ford assumed the presidency in 1974. He served from 1974-1977, before being defeated by Jimmy Carter during the 1976 presidential election.
