In this sequel to "Look Homeward, Angel," the author's autobiographical character, Eugene Gant, makes his way from small-town North Carolina to the wider world in a desperate search for fulfillment. First printing with correct full number line sequence. The book is in near fine, apparently unread condition with no underlining, writing, or marks of any kind save for a 2" x 1" stamp on the front free endpaper which reads "Thomas Wolfe Memorial State Historic Site Asheville, N.C." No bookplates or remainder marks. Not an ex-library copy. Spine is tight and crisp. Boards are flat and true, and the corners are square. The book shows some bumping to the lower spine extreme but is otherwise in lovely condition. Dust jacket is not price-clipped and shows minimal shelf wear. The lower left corner of the back of the jacket does have three light spots the size of a pinhead. This collectible, near fine, first edition/first printing copy is protected with an archival mylar dust jacket cover. Satisfaction guaranteed!
