Large octavo; publisher's green cloth, color pictorial paste-on to upper cover; half-tone pictorial endpapers; 287pp.; half-tone illus. Spine cloth a bit dulled, corners bumped, spotting to cover paste-on, else a Very Good, internally clean and sound copy. Date of publication after 1931, when the color plates were discontinued, but before 1934, the spine imprint not yet in "semi-script." Twelfth Oz book in the series involving the Tin Woodman's search for the young Munchkin maid to whom he was betrothed when he was still Nick Chopper, before his transformation to the Tin Woodman.
