"New Edition - Beautifully Illustrated" - very clean hardcover book in original glassine wrapper and publisher's decorated box. No date of publication - circa early 1900's. Very clean unfaded brown ribbed cloth boards with color paste-on illustration of school entrance with trees - no wear to book, including cover illustration; crisp stamped white lettering on cover; stamped white lettering and small circular decoration on spine (all fine and unchipped). No bumping or wear. Binding is tight and square, hinges are sound - no cracking. Pages and edges are clean with clean endpapers. No names, writing or marks. No foxing. Very nice black and white illustrations throughout (on glossy plates, along with smaller illustrations in text). "Preface to the Sixth English Edition" at start of book. 418 pages. Original glassine wrapper has closed tears. Box with illustrated cover (cover has small sticker scrape, cracking to one corner - expertly reglued), a few tiny edge nicks, small spots of wear to corners..
