Very handsome copy of book #3 in the second Tom Swift series, which was comprised of 33 volumes written under the pseudonym Victor Appleton II. These are the blue tweed hardcover books with a plain frontispiece, internals, & endpapers by illustrator Graham Kaye. Orig. published in 1954, this is later printing, listing to Book #15 in front matter & back flap, HB# 39 on back cover. 208 pages. Condition is VG+: very clean & bright, downgraded due to mild rubbing to extremities & bumped corners. Binding straight & strong, hinges intact. Pages creamy white, with a whisper of tanning to edges, else unmarked. The unclipped DJ is Good+, with minor-moderate edgewear, including chipping at both ends of spine & corners; nicely protected in new mylar cover Free!
