About This Item
London: Young World Productions, 1971. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. The interior of the book is crisp and clean. There is a gift inscription to a former owner on the back of the front free end paper, but no other marks or wear. The blue covers are fresh, with just a touch of wear at tips and corners. The jacket is price-clipped, but is otherwise in excellent condition. The jacket is now in a protective mylar cover. Synopsis: A new road was being planned in Woodsey Newtown, but Tom Tortoise's house was in the way. The idea of uprooting him seems out of the question. Rules and regulations show that road development must not interfere with anything classed as "an ancient monument", but how is a 130 year old tortoise going to fit into that category?
