In open rebellion against Catherine the Great, the Torgut Horde, numbering four hundred thousand men, women and children, set forth in 1770 on a three thousand mile march from the Volga back to liberty and the ancestral homeland they had left one hundred and forty years before. This is an epic story of that migration. Paper is slightly tanned and dust jacket has slight shelf-wear, but otherwise, this book is in perfect condition.
