About the author

Novelist, poet, playright, and scholar David Madden is professor of creative writing at Louisiana State University. He is the author of numerous novels, including Cassandra Singing, Sharpshooter, Bijou, and The Suicide's Wife, and works of criticism, including Wright Morris, Writers' Revisions, James M. Cain, and The Poetic Image in Six Genres. He justcompleted a short novel, Abducted by Circumstance. He continues to work on his London Bridge quintet.
