Apeiron Photos 2010. Brand new. Bilingual (greek-english) photographic album. At an intersection, between tradition and future, Turkey opens like a book on photographic exploration of George Georgiou, photographer based in Britain, that scratches images of national identity and individual self-determination. His new photo album entitled "Turkey in the Crack of Time" focuses on exactly this not always obvious and sometimes fragile balance. Georgiou lived for five years in Turkey. Arising from this personal contact with the country are the photographs, which highlight the many and often contradictory faces of Turkish society. The title of the issue contains the word "crack":excellent and poetic choice that demonstrates this very delicate balance. The photographer's gaze is anthropocentric and explores how people change. There is always a sense of movement, movement, fluidity.
