Light foxing to top and fore-edge of text block, predominantly along the edges of the glossy plates bound in at the center of book. Boards show light soiling and a touch of fraying to cloth at top tips. Unclipped jacket shows very light edge wear and slight foxing at the tops of the flaps. A scholarly study of privately-owned madhouses in 18th and 19th century England.
