Venice: Bertano, 1631. hardcover. very good(+). Diviso in Due Libri. Illustrated with 32 full-page exquisite copperplate engravings of marine flora. Numerous decorative initials & head/tailpieces throughout. [8], 120 pages. Thin square 8vo, bound in contemporary vellum (binding worn but very sound; some pages have a very pale damp-stain in the upper gutter). Venetia: Appresso Pietro Maria Bertano, 1631. Scarce. Text in Italian.<br/><br/> Very scarce pre-Linnean natural history. OCLC lists 18 copies including those at Yale, Harvard, & Cambridge. No copies sold at auction in the last 30 years.<br/><br/>
