Travels in The Interior of Africa by Mungo Park. Mungo Park was a Scottish explorer of West Africa with this volume becoming a popular and influential travel book in which he theorized that the Niger and Congo merged to become the same river. This journal is drawn from the experiences of Mungo Park during his expedition. With eight plates and four pages of publisher adverts to the rear. Collated, complete. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, smart with some fading to the boards and spine with bumping to the head and tail of the spine. Front and rear hinges are weak and loosening. The frontispiece and rear free endpaper are loose but present. Internally, firmly bound with generally bright and clean pages with some scattered spots to the first few pages. Good
