New York: Harper and Row, Publishers. First Edition . Hard Back. Very Good/No Dust Jacket. 5 1/2" x 8. Shortall, Leonard. 172 pages. Weekly Reader Children's Book Club Edition. Green and orange pictorial boards with Southwestern scene. A little edge wear on covers with a clean tight interior that appears to have never been read. Several interior illustrations including one on the title page. Contents in Ten Chapters: Things, Stuffy, A Disappearance, An Old Deerskin, Clues in the Museum, Debbie's Ghost Detector, Treasure Hunt, Beneath Two Sisters, Tim Turns Blue and the Altar Boy's Map. All places in the book are fictitious except the museum. The mystery of the bells is based on the missing ghost bells of the Mission of Tumacacori. All characters are fictitious except Bootsie.The author also wrote The Shaman's Last Raid.
