Laid in at the rear of this copy is a certificate affirming M[orris] Gray's membership in the Harvard Athletic Association, signed by the H.A.A. Secretary, and dated Cambridge, Nov. 10, 1874, with the Association's red wax seal affixed. Scarce book tackling the legal implications of a then new technology. Contemporary law sheep (rubbed, corners bumped), gilt stamped red morocco spine label.
