[6], vii-xv, [3], 3-237, [3] pp. Black cloth with gold lettering and a white decoration on the spine; yellow topstain. Price of $5.95 on the front flap of the dust jacket. Illustrated with a full-page map and with eight plates of black and white photographs. Inscribed by the author on the free front endpaper ("Scott - Thanks for your part in this - Doug J Jan. 67"). A history of the treaty that marked a new era in the U.S. Government's policy towards colonizing land in the Plains and Western territories. A touch of foxing to the textblock and minor bumping to the corners; jacket has traces of edge wear to its corners and notable foxing.
