Trees of the Great Basin: a Natural History Original cloth - 1984

by Lanner, Ronald M. ; Stetter, Rick (Ed. )

  • Used
  • Hardcover

Description

Reno, NV: University of Nevada Press. Fine+ in Fine dust jacket. 1984. Second Edition. Original Cloth. Copyright page says 1983, but the title page says 1984. The editor contacted me, and informed me that, despite all indications, this was actually printed in 1983. As an interesting footnote, here is the message Mr Stetter sent me: "Bob - I'm just pleased to see it still available. Some of the books in the Great Basin Series are still out there in current editions (Geology of the Great Basin and The Sagebrush Ocean) , but we spent so much grant money doing the Trees and Shrubs books that it made it difficult for the UN Press to reprint them and make it work financially. Before retiring in 2005 I spent over 30 years in scholarly publishing (directed the Museum of Northern Arizona Press, the UN Press, Texas A&M UP, and Southern Illinois University UP) , but of all the books I was involved in over the years I was never any prouder then those we did in the Great Basin Series. Best regards, Rick". Best regards, Rick". (With Mr Stetter's permission); 7 1/2x10" .
