Condition: New, this Novel is Signed by Richard F. Crockett, however this Novel appears to have never been read and as if it was just bought. There is no other apparent marks within this Novel. Dust Jacket: New, it also appears as if never saw a bookshelf to damage it's corners.
About the Author: Richard was a Veteran US Air Force Fighter Pilot, experienced in everything from vintage propeller driven fighters to the modern jets through the 1990's. He was an instructor, test pilot, squadron commander, and combat fighter pilot, he flew nearly 600 missions during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He retired in 1970 from Active Duty and returned to South Vietnam, where he continued to fight against the Communist North Vietnam. When Saigon fell in 1975, he slipped out of Indochina with two beautiful Vietnamese refugees. Following several years in the Middle East, he returned to the United States, married, and retired to Colorado Springs where he started writing. Sadly, Richard, with his rich history and experiences only has his writings to hear from as he passed away in 2008. Another Great American Hero whose stories are only relived in history books or in his case, very classified files.
About this Novel: In the Arizona Territory, an understrength company of US Cavalry manned mostly by green recruits, faced the Apaches, under Cochise and Geronimo who were preparing for war. This is an exciting, fast paced tale of the Old West, chockful of suspense, action and adventure. And so begins the last battle for the cavalry outpost at Vinegar Falls.
