Norwalk, Conn.: The Easton Press, 2001. Collector's Edition. Fine in full, dark blue leather covered boards with four raised bands on the spine with gilt text and gilt tool work in the compartments. The boards are decorated with gilt borders and designs of fishing knots in gilt. The end sheets are gilt and the edges of the text block are gilt. There is a silk placement ribbon sewn in at the head of the spine. An octavo of 8 1/4 by 5 1/2 inches. This copy remains contained within the publisher's shrink wrap. This title represents a rewriting of the author's first two books: Secrets of the Salmon of 1922 and Telling on the Trout of 1926. 338 pages including plates from black and white photographs at the end of the text. The text is illustrated with many line drawings. One of the volumes in the Easton Press Library of Fly-Fishing Classics which is no longer available for sale. A fine copy with no previous owner's markings of any kind.
