About the author

Martin Fido is a university lecturer who has taught in Oxford, Leeds, Michigan, and the West Indies. He currently teaches at Boston University and lives on Cape Cod. For 20 years he was a freelance writer and broadcaster. A specialist in true crime, he is recognized worldwide as one of the leading authorities on Jack the Ripper. He also coauthored The Official Encyclopedia of Scotland Yard (Virgin Publishing). David Southwell has spent over 15 years researching international crime, parapolitics, and conspiracies. For the last seven he has worked as a political insider. A regular broadcaster in the UK and North America, he has more than a decade of experience as a journalist and section editor in the newspaper industry.
