About This Item

Washington, DC, U.S.A.: Regnery Publishing, Incorporated, An Eagle Publishing Company, 1998. Second Printing . Hard Back. Fine/Very Good. 6" x 9. 208 pages indexed. Dust jacket price 24.95 is unclipped. With 33 million members, the American Associatin of Retired Persons is the 2nd largest organizaiton in the US after the Catholic Church. When the AARP lobbies Congress with it s huge budget, it claims to do so for senior citizens. but all too often the AARP promotes causes that harm seniours, especially the higher taxes, disastrous health care legislation threatening seniors, and whole litany of left-wing causes. These efforts are subsidized by its numerous business enterprises, including insurance and pharmaceuticals, which the AARR claims are a non-profit service to seniors, but which make vast sums for the AARP and officers. The real interest of AARP is in making money. The author is a veteran of the Jack Anderson column.
