Boston: Houghton Mifflin, 1905. First Edition, Second State. Cloth. Very good. Brown cloth with color illustration including gilt on cover, gilt lettering and picture of a bird on spine, wear to extremities, last name of previous owner on front free endpaper. Inscription on title page: "With sincerest regards, to Rev. & Mrs. Wright from C. William Beebe, Mary Blair Beebe." [Wife's signature in different handwriting.] Frontispiece is a black and white photo with tissue guard of a Mexican motmot. Dog-eared crease on top corner of title page and on frontispiece. First edition, second state with "C. William" on cover. About a trip to Mexico by the author and his wife. Photographs by author throughout.
