Sault Ste. Marie / Grand Rapids: Young's Art Studio / James Bayne Co. Unpaginated (approx. 58 pp, excluding covers), oblong (6 3/4" H x 9" D), with string ties. No date (c1910). Title page continues: "Mammoth Power Developed and Industries Established - The Growth of Two Large Cities - In the Land of Hiawatha." Two page introduction, followed by b&w photographs with captions (some fold-out), showing the locks and their surroundings, including pictures of power houses, industries, shipping, fishing, etc. Also some 'set up' views from the poem 'Hiawatha'. Interior - most pages have a very small soft crease or curl at corners - one has a sharp corner crease, one page with a 1" archivally taped margin tear and one with a tiny repaired tear, some very light soiling to some pages, one fold-out picture has fore-edge creases another has several corner creases at fore-edge Exterior - covers have moderate edge wear, corner creases, one tiny corner piece missing, two edge tears archivally taped, a few tiny scuffs and some very light rubbing; spine has repaired tears, light soiling and light edge wear; browning to edges of text block..
