Illustrated with black and white reproductions of drawnigs and especially examples of various fonts. "With a display of English, American, French, Dutch, and German type-faces;a table for calculating the number of words of any type which can be fitted into a given space; and a gallery of contemporary advertisements. Pages 169-240 are reprints/ examples of advertisements from newpapers to serve as font examples. Foxing to interior pages. Dust wrapper chipped and divided into two separate pieces, now laid-in inside front board. Some pages still uncut. Binding in very good, interior in good condition.
