Kjobenhavn: J. L. Wisbech, 1883. Hardcover. Good/No Jacket. Engravings. Danish language. Bound in black pebbled cloth backed with dark brown leather; spine titles and decorations stamped in gilt. 1883 date to the title page, but the contents are dated 1878 through 1880. Illustrated throughout. Unpaginated, but several hundred pages minimum. Eight pages of advertisements at the rear. Ex-library from Gale College (Wisconsin) with call numbers to the endpapers and title page. No exterior marks, no card pocket or date due sheet. Bookplate of Norwegian-American collector Herman Gimmestad to the front pastedown. We did not find any marks or writing in the text, whcih remains in very good condition, with no toning or foxing present. The covers show considerable edgewear and rubbing, but the spine lettering is still quite bright. Hinges solid; binding square. A clean, tight copy. Uncommon. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall
