Newport News, VA: Patrick Huyghe, 1970-1973. First Edition. Wraps. Very good. 4to. Side-stapled wraps. Printed mimeo throughout. Very good to near fine. Several issues show moderate exterior toning; many have postage to rear. Most farily toned internally, but otherwise clean, sharp, and unmarred. Issues range from 22pp. to 43pp.
An extremely charming ufology journal, edited and published by Patrick Huyghe. The inaugural issue announces the death of official ufology: "Here lies official UFOlogy... Born circa 1947, died December 1969." With contributions from a variety of authors, the journal sought to advance the field of ufology by using computer analysis and conducting original research, seeking to overcome the "voodoo" of traditional ufology in favor of a more "scientific" approach. Authors mostly treat their topics from this angle, seeking to advance ufological research methodologies in both theory and practice. Though incomplete, a representative run of this attractively printed magazine.
