The author, a journalist with a deep liking for Asia and its people, was returning to Melbourne in November, 1977, after working as chief instructor in English at a Tokyo language school, when he died aboard ship, and was buried at sea. This journal was compiled from notes found in his cabin on board ship, and published in tribute . . . Contents include: Prelims., Intro., 14 chapters, viz: Japan, Taiwan, Philippines, Borneo, Korea, Guam, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea.
