About the author

William Beaver is a historian and priest. He was born in Colorado and drafted to fight in Korea. Thereafter he took a military scholarship to study in Oxford, England, where he has remained. He is a former intelligence officer and is currently an Officiating Chaplain to the British Army, as well as Chaplain of Christ's College Oxford.
