London: Thomas Nelson and Sons This FIRST EDITION, The Boys Own Library, hard cover is IN GOOD CONDITION. No date, circa 1890. 509 Pages bound in decorative red cloth with bright gold gilt title on cover with stamped black design of Eskimo. Gold gilt lettering on spine also. Back cover has blind stamped design. Some surface/edge wear with corners bumped. Dark brown end papers, with the hinges starting. Owner's name "W.J. Hunt" on flypage. One frontis of a rescue scene, another of an eskimo in canoe hunting walrus. This interesting story is intended to illustrate one of the many phases of the fur traders life in the wild regions of North America which surround Hudson Bay. Most of the major incidents are facts, fiction being employed for the purpose of weaving these facts into a readable form. Enhanced by numerous full page illustrations, one of which is loose. Pages foxed. OVERALL GOOD COPY AND INTACT.
