A fascinating book by a well-known expert on railways that will be of great interest to every railway enthusiast. Each engine dealt with in these pages, has a claim to fame by reason of its design, its unique power or its speed. . . . some famous engine designs, both successful and unsuccessful and some for special purposes.Featuring unique and unusual locomotives, many of which have never gone into service is extremely interesting.Without these prototypes, advances in locomotives would have been much slower,as many had features of interest that could be transferred into the more successful locomotives. Please contact seller for correct shipping/P+p quotes - particularly ALL overseas customers - BEFORE ordering through the order page!
** UK,buyers note, stocks' actual shipping/P+p costs are adjusted and any difference is refunded after order's receipt and before the order's despatch, especially if item(s) offered P/p included or free.
** N.B. US/Canada customers please be aware: Standard AIR postage from UK to these destinations can now cost more than the price of the book! If speed is not of the essence, then Economy rate is recommended - at approx. 2/3rds of standard AIR quote/rate - sometimes arriving long before the quoted 42 days - but not always.
