[257-262] prelim material, 263-502, [503-504] blank. Contents in German (gothic script): 16 predigten/sermons (chaps 17-32, on the Gospels of Matthew, Luke, John, plus one each on the epistles to Romans and Galatians); "einfaeltiger unterricht, was ein ansahender mensch betrachten soll, dass er moege kommen zum innerlichen befinden der predigten" ("a simple lesson, what a respected person should look at, that he may come to the inner meaning of the sermons") and "register der bibelstellen" (scripture index). Notes passim. Condition notes: worn/scuffed and folded wrappers. Penciled note to front wrapper, else unmarked. A one-inch closed tear to contents page. Binding is similar to softcover dissertation binding. Sixteenth century German theologian Weigel predated (and influenced) Jacob Boehme and others. We personally inspect every book we offer.
