About This Item

Boston: Little, Brown and Company. 1914. First edition, first printing. First edition, first printing. Publisher's brown cloth with white titles to the upper board and spine, in dustwrapper. With four full page illustrations by C. M. Taffs. An excellent near fine copy, the binding square and firm, the cloth bright and fresh. The contents, with a penciled ownership name and date (1914) to the front endpaper, are otherwise clean throughout. Complete with the near very good dustwrapper that has several short tears and chips with loss to the edges, most notably at the bottom right corner of the upper panel (not affecting the illustration). This American edition precedes the UK edition, which was published by Methuen in 1916. (Hubin). Further details and images for any of the items listed are available on request. Lucius Books welcomes direct contact with our customers.
