The Vedic period is the period in the late Bronze Age and early Iron Age of the history of India when the Vedic literature, including the Vedas was composed in the northern Indian subcontinent. The Rig-Veda is an ancient Indian collection of Verdic Sanskrit hymns and one of the four sacred canonical Hindu texts known as the Verdas. With two folding plates, one being the colour folding frontispiece, and illustrations throughout the text. Collated, complete. In prize binding for Cheltenham College.
