One lightly bent corner at rear. **Art historical book featuring well illustrated color reproductions of the works of the master Florentine Italian Renaissance painter, sculptor and goldsmith, Andrea del Verrocchio (1435-1488), discussed in relation to a restoration project on the artist's famous sculptures upon the exterior of Orsanmichele carried out beginning in 1989. Chapter contents include: "Intelligence and Harmony in the Work of Andrea del Verrocchio," The Restoration," "The Restoration of the Bronze Figures of Christ and St Thomas," "The Work, The Building and Decoration of Orsanmichele Before Verrocchio," "The Christ and St. Thomas of Andrea del Verrocchio," "The Technique of Execution, Casting Techniques in Verrocchio"s Workshop When the Christ and St. Thomas was Made," "Metallurgic Characterization of Bronze by Means of Scanning Electron Microscopy and X-Ray Microanalysis," "Preliminary Technical Analysis." Verrocchio's workshop was a center for learning to some of the best-known artists of the time, including of Leonardo di Vinci, Botticelli, Ghirlandaio, and Lorenzo di Credi.
