Berkeley: Wilderness Press, 1974. First Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Near Fine/Fair. FIRST PRINTING of First Edition. Original blue cloth with gilt lettering on the spine. Old owner name penned to corner of blank FFEP, no other marks or writing, clean covers, solid binding, no foxing, overall nice condition. The dust jacket has big loss to upper front with most of title missing, 5cm tear and two 2cm tears front, 2cm loss top spine, three 2cm tears rear. The book measures 286mm tall x 215mm, and has 201 pages, 115 b/w & 16 color photos. A Yosemite classic, a collection of essays by pioneering wall climbers: Robbins(4), Chouinard(2), Harding(2), Pratt, Rowell, Steck, B. Robinson, Nelson, Sherrick, Macdonald, & D. Robinson, & a reprint of Proctor's account of the ascent of Half Dome in 1884. Fine set of photos. PHOTOS ARE OF THE ACTUAL BOOK BEING OFFERED.
