For word by John Ardagh, introduction by author, photographic notes, bibliography and index. Brown coloured and pages. The text is illustrated with numerous colour photographs taken by Charlie Waite. Yellow coloured boards with gilt coloured titles to the back strip. Photographic dust wrapper, again by Charlie Waite, with yellow coloured titles to the front panel and back strip. A photographic essay by Charlie Waite, with accompanying text by Joanna Sullam, of the small tucked away villages of France. They give a photographic and wordpicture of the idiosyncrasies of each village, describe a little of their history and their way of life. Sunning to the book edges with scattered foxing to the book panels. Uniform tanning of the text block edges with scattered fine foxing. Gift inscription to the verso of the free front end page. The title page has become a little grubby from colour loss of the coloured frontispiece. Creasing of the dust wrapper edges and there is a 0.5 " tear to the lower right-hand corner of the rear panel, with associated creasing. Fading to the back strip and there is foxing to the verso. We seem to specialize in non mainstream stuff but read and stock Science-fiction, fantasy, detective fiction, history, biography and true crime, war, natural history. cooking, children's books and try to avoid current text books.We probably have the largest collection of Science Fiction, Penguins and general crime in Victoria in an open shop ( David has 8 bookcases 900mm x 2200mm of sf and f) ( Penny has 8 bookcases 1200mm x 2400 of sf and f )On shelf each shop has 30,000 plus books and we list over 30000 books online
