About This Item
Paris: Firmin Didot, 1806 12mo (19.8 cm), In-8, [7] ff, 263, [1] pp. Contemporary dark blue morocco by Thevenet, spine in compartments, gilt-lettered title and initials J. L. on the spine, gilt fillets to edges and endpapers, all edges gilt, marbled endpapers (binding slightly rubbed and chipped at the head of the spine, some toning of paper of the first quire). Inscribed by Firmin Didot to Parisian bookseller and publisher Auguste Nepveu ("Donné à Auguste Nepveu par l'auteur, Firmin Didot" at the top of the half-title. (Jammes, Les Didot, 99). Brunet, V, 1302.
