Quarto, 3 volumes; VG/VG-; spine red with white text; dust jackets protected with mylar; mild shelfwear and scuffing to dust jackets of volumes 1 and 2, dust jacket of volume 3 features shelfwear, scuffing, chipping, and splitting along the back fore edge fold; textblocks of volumes 1 and 2 clean, volume 3 has foxing; printed endpapers depicting journal spreads in all three volumes; full color and black and white illustrations throughout volumes 1 and 3; black and white illustrations throughout volume 2, with one color plate facing the title; fold-out family tree on paper inserted at spread lxxii-lxxv; pencil marks on margins and in text on 69-71 of volume 3; shelved ? Latrobe was a British architect who emigrated to the United States after the Revolutionary War and designed many iconic buildings of the post-revolution era, including the United States Capitol. He also served as the Architect of the Capitol from 1803-1811 and 1815-1817. The title of Volume 3 is "The Journals of Benjamin Henry Latrobe, 1799-1820", ISBN 0300023839. 1360084.
