Prelims a little foxed; otherwise a fine copy in the original printed (and slightly worn and soiled), dust jacket.. 8vo, original yellow paper boards with black lettering, t.e.g., others untrimmed. Frontispiece. The second book by Japanese-American poet Yone Noguchi (1875-1947), a short collection of poems, mostly about Yosemite Valley and the surrounding Sierras. Noguchi moved to San Francisco from his native Japan in 1893, "a poor immigrant with little command of English" (Harlan). He was befriended by the San Francisco literati, Porter Garnett, Gelett Burgess, Charles Warren Stoddard and the publisher William Doxey, among them.
