A very handsome copy despite these minor faults. Describes the navigation/exploration of the entire length of the Yukon River. Part two describes several journeys into "great river tributaries" of the Yukon; the Tanana River,the Koyukuk,the Porcupine,the Chandalar,and several others.Stuck was an English Episcopal Clergyman & Missionary (ordained 1892) who came to America in 1885 at age 22. He was first a public school principal in Texas and also held several rectorates there until 1904, when he was posted and served as Archdeacon in the Yukon. Author of several books;descriptive records of his travels and mission work. He was also a member of the party which made the first complete ascent of Mount McKinley,1913.
