About This Item
Privately Printed, 1959. Limited Edition. Wraps. Near Fine. A nice association copy, inscribed by Lurie to fellow poet and academic William H, Matchett on the title page (with his bookplate to the verso of the front cover) and an inscribed Christmas photo of her, Jonathan Bishop, and John & Jeremy (sons) dated 1959; with a brief inscription on the back, laid in loose. Cover art by Edward Gorey (a good friend of both Lurie and Lang). One of only 300 copies printed (published by Lang's husband Bradley Phillips), and is the author's first book (nonfiction), a memoir of V. R. 'Bunny' Lang (1924-56). A nice clean copy in the publisher's glassine, about Fine.
