United Art Publishing, 1916. Hardcover. Used- Good condition. Book shows shelf wear. Scuffing along the edges and corners of book. Tear on the left middle side (next to the spine). Blotches of slightly darkened stains on the back cover. Writing on the front end-paper. Tear on the top and bottom of the end-paper up against the binding. All pages are intact. No further markings on the inside of the book. The envelope that originally held the stamps is no longer in the book. All 72 stamps are affixed to the corresponding spaces. Softcover oblong small 4to, 7 x 11 inches. 16 pages of freehand drawing exercises focusing on curved shapes and ornamental designs. Number 2 in the series of drawing books designed for teaching in public schools and used in the late 1870s and '80s. The series included Free Hand (#1-6), Geometric (#7-8), Model and Object (#9) and Perspective (#10). VG+ with light soil to wraps, slight bump to the lower corner; internally bright and clean, an exemplary copy.

Blue cloth 8vo, 127pp. About Very Good with fading to the cloth, rubbing to the corners and spine ends. In a Good dust jacket, lacking the bottom inch of the spine and with general soil and edgewear. Housed in mylar wrapper. A workbook style of anagram prompts, with three perforated columns at the edge of each page for players to render their formulations, and blank lines to record the results. This copy is about 90-95% intact with only 3-5 written responses in the text. Detachable cards for sending anagrams to friends still present at rear. Marketed as an "absorbing" social activity with overt 18th amendment references on the DJ (example anagrams "Men meet gin, then death" / "End the gin; tame the men" / "Meaneth gin met the end.") A pleasing tactile production designed for defacement, but still nicely preserved.
